DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with CCP SyneRBI\, we are organising a train
 ing school providing hands-on exercises related to basic principles of ite
 rative image reconstruction and associated modelling of the PET acquisitio
 n process.\nThe school will start with a short lecture on basic concepts i
 n PET image reconstruction and an introduction to the Open Source softwar
 e Synergistic Image Reconstruction Framework (SIRF). This will be followed
  by group-based practical sessions using SIRF in Python.  The sessions wi
 ll be based on the Jupyter notebook training material available at github
 .com/SyneRBI/SIRF-Exercises (SPECT and MR will not be covered in this scho
 ol). Participants will have access to the material in the cloud and will w
 ork in groups\, allocated according to their familiarity with Python and P
 ET image reconstruction. Several trainers will be available to help.\nPart
 icipants are required to have followed the Continued Education Workshop as
 sociated to PET is Wonderful\, or have obtained basic knowledge on PET phy
 sics and the theory of image reconstruction elsewhere. It is highly recomm
 ended to follow a Python tutorial beforehand. Appropriate links are availa
 ble in the SIRF-Exercises.\nThe school is free to attend\, with lunch incl
 uded\, but registration is required. There will be a cap on registrations
