The last few years have seen a renewed interest in the analytic structure of scattering amplitudes. One of the consequences has been a revival of old methods from the S-matrix program of the sixties, which can now be coupled with our deeper understanding of the types of functions that appear in scattering amplitudes as well as powerful numerical methods to constrain the space of allowed S-matrices. This workshop aims to bring together researchers working at the intersection of these topics, and in particular on understanding the analytic structure of scattering amplitudes from first principles through Landau analysis—namely, through the study of where amplitudes become singular, and how they behave near these singularities. Topics to be covered include:

  • algorithms for solving the Landau equations, and understanding the behavior of scattering amplitudes near these solutions
  • strategies for deriving new constraints on the discontinuity structure of amplitudes
  • strategies for using the analytic structure to constrain scattering amplitudes non-perturbatively
  • connections between Landau analysis and positive geometries
  • the use of Landau analysis to study the classes of special functions that appear in Feynman integrals
  • Landau analysis for AdS correlators and the wave function of the universe

Confirmed speakers include:
