There are a number of great cafes on the Kings Buildings campus where you will be able to grab a bite to eat for lunch. Here are the details:
The Nucleus Cafe:
The café provides an urban feel whilst importantly bringing the outside in with use of internal planting and a glazed outlook onto the site gardens and Eduardo Paolozzipola sculptures.
Start your day off right with their wholesome breakfast menu or explore their delicious all-day dining offer. Salad boxes, hot boxes, burgers, wraps and snacks with a focus on fresh ingredients, made from scratch in the Nucleus kitchen.
There is also a wrap bar and shop on the ground floor of the Nucleus building.
KB Cafe:
The KB Café is located on the ground floor of the Noreen and Kenneth Murray Library of King's Buildings.
It provides an extensive range of freshly ground speciality coffees and organic Fairtrade teas, along with soups, baked potatoes and a wide selection of sandwiches, panini, baguettes and salads, together with confectionary, soft drinks, freshly made smoothies and frappés.
Magnet Cafe:
The Magnet Café is situated within the JCMB building and serves a variety of hot drinks, sweet and savoury snacks, sandwiches and soup.
Element Cafe:
Element cafe is located on campus in Murchison House.
“Element” through the use of simple white tiles and light ceiling rafts reflects its fresh credentials with a focus on a healthy range offering make your own salads. Customers have a choice of leaves, protein (meat or plant based), dressings and toppings so can really customise their own salad as per their own specific dietary needs. Element offers the healthiest range on site.
The Eng Inn:
The Eng Inn is located within the School of Engineering study space in the Hudson Beare building at Kings Buildings campus.
The café is open Monday to Friday, offering a barista coffee service along with a wide range of hot and cold snacks. Choose from a selection of Panini, toasties, bagels, baguettes, salads, deli pots and soup which are freshly prepared daily in their central production kitchen. They also stock a varied selection of cold drinks, homemade bakery items, muffins, cookies, confectionery and crisps.
