Welcome to the 2026 STFC Nuclear Physics Summer School - we are very much looking forward to meeting you all in Aberdeen this summer (26th July - 8th August).

This is a two-week, in-person residential Summer school, with students expected to attend the entire school and partake in all sessions.

The school is tailored for PhD students typically in their 1st or 2nd year of study. There will be lectures, tutorials and skills sessions delivered throughout the Summer school by a team of world-leading experts and early-career researchers in the domain of nuclear science, covering experimental, theoretical and applied aspects of the field.

The pre-registration is now open (closing end of February), and can be accessed through the registration tab on the side panel. Note that this is not a final registration, but the information will be used to assess how many members of the community plan to attend, and allow registrants to give input on what materials will be delivered in dedicated nuclear skills sessions.

The pre-registration does not hold anyone to attending, so if you would be interested in attending but are unsure of availability please still pre-register. The final registration process will take place later in the year. Pre-registrants will have priority places on the school, as will those funded by STFC studentships.
