Welcome to the 2026 STFC Nuclear Physics Summer School - we are very much looking forward to meeting you all in Aberdeen this summer (26th July - 8th August).

This is a two-week, in-person residential Summer school, with students expected to attend the entire school and partake in all sessions.

The school is tailored for PhD students typically in their 1st or 2nd year of study. There will be lectures, tutorials and skills sessions delivered throughout the Summer school by a team of world-leading experts and early-career researchers in the domain of nuclear science, covering experimental, theoretical and applied aspects of the field.

The Registration is now open and will close end of May 2026. For participants who do not hold an STFC-funded studentship the attendance fee for the school will be £1000, which covers the accommodation for the full 26th July-8th August period, and meals during teaching days (Mon-Fri). Requests for payment will come shortly after registration closes, and will need completing before attendance can be fully confirmed.

Pre-registrants will have priority places on the school, as will those funded by STFC studentships.
