Social Programme

During the Summer School we have an exciting programme of activities that you are welcome to sign up to. You can sign up for any or all of these activities when completing your registration.  These include:

Monday 24th of June, 6pm

2-2.5 hour guided walking tour of Edinburgh with Local Eyes Tours. You will have the opportunity to explore the historic Old Town which will give you a great overview of Edinburgh's most famous and recognizable landmarks. By the end you will know more about the history than the average Scot! Comfortable footwear is a must.

Tuesday 25th of June, 8pm

Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) dancing at Summerhall. Ceilidh means "gathering" in Gaelic and is a fun and energetic traditional group Scottish dance. There will be a live band with a caller who will walk you through the steps at the start of each dance so there is no need to worry about not knowing what to do. It all adds to the fun! Get ready to Strip the Willow and board the Flying Scotsman. It's fast, furious and fun. Flat shoes are a must.

Wednesday 26th of June. Meet 7pm, dining at 7.30pm.

We invite you to join us for dinner at the beautiful Cannonball restaurant which is located on Castle Hill directly besides the iconic Edinburgh Castle. You are guaranteed great food from the best of Scotland's larder and the warmest of welcomes from the Cannonball team.

Thursday 27th of June, 5.30pm

Whisky Tasting with our in-house expert. Scotland has 5 whisky producing areas and this is your chance to sample a wee dram (or two) of this legendary Scottish drink. Slainte Mhath!
